From a hiking trail high in the mountains of Hall Ranch, just west of Lyons, Colorado, we see the characteristically rugged mountain pines, surrounded by craggy boulders, amid dynamic clouds. The rocks, the trees, and the clouds seem to be interacting together, as if posing for this scene. Though it may look somewhat like an otherworldly landscape, it's just another beautiful day in the Colorado mountains.
Joel created this radiantly illumined work in his signature neo-impressionist style, to express the shimmering life energy of mountain trees as they touch the clouds.
