Description
In Boulder County, surrounded by the secure branches of a leafy tree, this squirrel takes a peaceful moment to enjoy the day. While squirrels generally behave in a busy, squirrelly way, this one has the presence of mind to collect its thoughts, while seated in this tranquil green tree in Longmont, Colorado.
Joel created this square format, vibrantly sparkling squirrel portrait in his signature neo-impressionist style, to express the serenity of animals in their natural environment, so that we might be reminded that we, too, can find inner peace in our busy world.

You have portrayed this cute but ornery little creature of the Woodlands marvelously, Joel! He commands a larger-than-life presence here in this magical work that is reminiscent of stained or painted glass! Fave! L/F/FB!
Joel Bruce Wallach replied:
Many thanks, Kimberlee; squirrels deserve some larger-than-life respect, I agree!
