From a hiking trail high in the mountains of Hall Ranch, just west of Lyons, Colorado, ancient boulders and rugged pines hold an aura of ancient mystery, brilliantly lit by the orange sunset.
Joel created this radiantly dynamic work in his signature neo-impressionist style, to express the primitive presence of ancient boulders reaching towards the sky above.
